Clemson Tigers: Watkins and Peake Named to Biletnikoff Watch List

Clemson Only ACC Team with Two Representatives CLEMSON, SC July 16, 2013 – Clemson wide receivers Sammy Watkins and Charone Peake have been named to the 2013 Biletnikoff Watch List.  Watkins and Peake are two of 10 ACC receivers on the list.  Clemson is the only ACC school with two representatives. First Three Games to be Televised Nationally COLUMBIA, SC July 16, 2013 – The first three University of South Carolina football games during the 2013 season will be televised nationally on one of the ESPN networks, it was announced today. As previously announced, the Gamecocks will open the 2013 college football season on Thursday, August 29, when they host the North Carolina Tar Heels. Game time is set for 6 p.m. ET at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia and the game will be televised on ESPN. Senior safety picked 57th overall by the Houston Texans NEW YORK, NY April 26, 2013 — South Carolina senior safety D.J. Swearinger was selected by the Houston Texans in the second round of the NFL Draft on Friday night with the 57th overall pick. A 6-0, 210-pounder from Greenwood, S.C., Swearinger served as a team captain in 2012 and was considered the biggest hitter on the defense and one of the team’s top playmakers. He was recognized as a second-team All-SEC performer by the league’s coaches, the Associated Press and Phil Steele.
