Women’s team places sixth in gold race; Men’s team finished 17th in gold race CHARLOTTE, N.C. Sept. 28, 2012 – Facing off against the stiffest competition of the season against 13 regionally ranked teams, East Carolina’s women’s cross country team placed sixth of 30 in the gold race and the men’s squad earned 17th of 35 on Friday, Sept. 28, at the Charlotte Cross Country Invitational. Cougar Women’s Golf Tied for Fourth After First Round of Nittany Lion Invitational

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Led by seniors Vanessa Koechli and Katharina Boehm and freshman Julia Neumann who each finished the day in the top 10 individually, the College of Charleston women’s golf team is tied for fourth-place after the opening round of the Nittany Lion Women’s Invitational Friday in State College. The Cougars were one of three teams that shot a 16-over 304 team score in the first round. Host Penn State leads the tournament after an opening round of 292 (+4), Old Dominion (+8) is in second-place and Harvard (+15) is third on the team leaderboard.   CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston equestrian team is set to open the 2012 fall campaign with a show hosted by Georgia Southern at Evermore Farm on Saturday, Sept. 29. The Cougars look to the season with optimism and hopes to capture the newly-realigned Zone 5 Region 3 crown and IHSA National appearance.
