By Troy Baranik Results Marietta, GA Feb. 23, 2014 – The St. Andrews University wrestling team was able to qualify three of its wrestlers for the NAIA Nationals on Saturday at the East Region Qualifier at Life University in Marietta, Ga. These are the first wrestlers to make it to NAIA Nationals in St. Andrews history since the program began in 2006. Head Coach Joe Baranik says that, “I’m very proud of these guys. They really worked hard and believed in themselves. This is great for the school as well. We didn’t qualify anyone last season and now we get three. By Troy Baranik Laurinburg, NC Feb. 12, 2014 – The St. Andrews University wrestling team’s non-conference match vs. Liberty University (Va.) that was supposed to be wrestled Thursday evening in Lynchburg, Va. has been canceled due to worsening travel conditions because of the Winter Storm. The match will not be made up. The SAU wrestling team finished the regular season at 7-8 and will now prepare for their NAIA East Region Qualifier on Feb. 22 in Marietta, Ga.
By: Troy Baranik Cleveland, GA January 31, 2014 – The St. Andrews University wrestling team dropped a tough match to conference rival Truett-McConnell College (Ga.) on Friday evening falling 22-21. With the heartbreaking loss, SAU falls to 7-6 on the season and 3-4 in the East Region while the Bears improve to 2-4. Senior 125 pounder Chauncey Foster remained undefeated, however, as he won by forfeit to improve to 13-0 while 5 Knight wrestlers won on the evening. Laurinburg, NC January 30, 2014 – The St. Andrews University vs. Truett-McConnell College wrestling match that was supposed to have been wrestled on Thursday at Cleveland, Ga. has been postponed due to the ongoing inclement weather in Georgia and surrounding areas. The conference match will now be wrestled on Friday, January 31 at 5 pm at Truett-McConnell.

However SAU would drop their next match in the Darton Duals to region foe Campbellsville University, the #4 ranked team in the nation, 34-12. Tech. St. Andrews had 14 place winners at the tournament including 4 finalists, three thirds, five fourths and two fifth place finishers out of 17 competitors that St. Andrews entered.
