The oyster roast will be held rain or shine 1-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Spud’s Waterfront Dining, Murrells Inlet. This community event is open to gsSCENE members and the public. The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is launching its Going Green program, with a number of activities during March. Myrtle Beach area businesses are continuing to find ways to reduce waste, reuse products and reduce their carbon footprints. Going green at the office is becoming easier and more prevalent. The MBACC is expanding its office recycling program March 1, beginning with staff training at 8:45 a.m. Led by Fisher Recycling â€“ Grand Strand, the training will introduce staff to new and enhanced recycling. Employees will now have access to recycling bins throughout the building, which will be emptied into larger containers. The recycling program will now include glass, plastics and cardboard as well as paper, aluminum and toner cartridges. […]
