Warren set the school record for the most 20-point games in a single season, but the NC State men’s basketball came up short against third-seeded Duke, 75-67, in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament Saturday afternoon at the Greensboro Coliseum. Warren broke Rodney Monroe’s school record from the 1990-91 season with the most 20-point games in a single-season with 29. With his 21 points in the contest, Warren has scored 20 or more points in 17 consecutive games. GREENSBORO, NC Mar. 10, 2014 – UNCW freshmen Allen Crosby and Nathan Lane finished 30th and 33rd, respectively, in the 3-meter Board at the NCAA Zone B Championships on Monday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. “Today was a great experience for Allen and Nathan,” said UNCW Diving Coach Beau Bunn following Monday’s event. “This was a very difficult Zone, one that included Duke’s Nick McCrory (Olympic Bronze Medalist) and Tennessee’s Mauricio Robles, who finished 1-2 in the Zone. RALEIGH, NC Mar. 9, 2014 – On March 9, 1891, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, was founded as a land grant institution for African Americans. The school, originally named the Agricultural and Mechanical College, was established as a result of the Second Morrill Act, enacted by Congress in 1890, which mandated separate colleges for the “colored race.”  Initially, the college shared space with Shaw University, but eventually moved to its permanent home in Greensboro with the assistance of Dewitt Clinton Benbow, a Guilford County businessman and philanthropist, and Charles H.
