Noontime Concert in Raleigh Features Mizesko’s “Sketches from Pinehurst” and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7 RALEIGH, NC Mar. 14, 2014 – The North Carolina Symphony, led by Music Director Grant Llewellyn, will perform orchestra bass trombonist Terry Mizesko’s “Sketches from Pinehurst” and Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7, on Friday, March 21, at noon in Meymandi Concert Hall in downtown Raleigh, as part of the 2013/14 Friday Favorites series. The world premiere of Mizesko’s orchestral work, “Sketches from Pinehurst,” was performed in April 2005 by the North Carolina Symphony.
