TOPSAIL BEACH, NC Aug. 22, 2015 – The Historical Society of Topsail Island kicks off the luncheon season (September-May) on September 10, 2015, 11:30 a.m. at the Historic Assembly Building 720 Channel Blvd., Topsail Beach NC.
Rick Richardson, B.A., M.A. University of Tennessee, base archaeologist aboard Camp Lejeune and Bryan Harrell, B.A. from V.C.U. & M.A. Florida State, contract archaeologist will provide the program. They will discuss the base’s cultural heritage dating from more than 9000 years ago and current archaeological projects on the Marine complex. The luncheon is $12 ($10 for attendees ages 70 and up). Reservations are required for the luncheon. Attendance for the program only is no cost.
