PLEASANT, SC May 20, 2015 – A round of heavy thunderstorms on Wednesday afternoon has resulted in a change to the schedule at the 2015 CAA Baseball Championship.
The tournament’s opening game between No. 4 Elon and No. 5 Delaware will resume at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20. Elon was leading the contest 2-1 in the top of the third inning when play was suspended at 12:56 p.m. Game Two between No. 3 Northeastern and No. 6 William & Mary will be played following the conclusion of the Elon/Delaware contest.
There will now be four games played on Thursday. Game Three – between the losers of games one and two – will be played at 10 a.m. That will be followed by No. 2 UNCW against the NU/W&M winner at 1:30 p.m. No. 1 College of Charleston will meet the Elon/Delaware winner at 5:30 p.m., with Game Six set for 8:30 p.m.
The original tournament schedule for Friday and Saturday will remain the same.
