“For 29 years the Parade of Homes has been the first place for families interested in the Cape Fear region to explore the options of new home ownership, whether they are looking for a new home, a vacation home or planning to relocate to our area,” says Cameron Moore, Executive Officer of WCFHBA.

More than 75 homes are featured in this year’s Parade including single-family houses, town homes, and custom built homes. Homes are located throughout New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender counties and prices range from the $150’s to $2.6 million. “The Parade of Homes is the ultimate opportunity to view a variety of new homes built by talented local builders,” says Jeff Stokley, 2015 Parade of Homes Chair. “If you’re looking for the home to make your real estate dreams a reality, you’re sure to find it in this year’s Parade.”

Homes featured on the tour boast the latest building trends, materials, and products that WCFHBA members bring to the marketplace. This event provides the public with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to tour new homes, see the latest technology, and to get building and remodeling ideas for their own homes. “We are proud of the role residential and commercial builders play in making home ownership possible for everyone,” says Shawn Horton, President of WCFHBA. “We are also proud of the role we play in providing homes, jobs, and a strong tax base in our local communities.”

The WCFHBA began the annual Parade of Homes event in 1987.  The first Parade featured 26 homes located throughout New Hanover County.  The tour was held over one weekend in October and featured homes with prices averaging $100,000.  This year’s Parade will be especially remarkable as the WCFHBA will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. Through their dedication and proven skills, members of the WCFHBA will show why they continue to be the region’s master craftsmen. – Opening Doors for a Better Tomorrow
