CHARLESTON, SC March 24, 2015 – One full weekend of Madness down and upcoming is four more days of craziness. Wichita State, UCLA, Michigan State and NC State are the teams that most would consider to be this year’s Cinderella teams. All have beaten teams that not only were higher seeded than theirs but would have been considered to have all been able to make very deep runs into this year’s tournament. Instead, we have these four teams as well as the favorites to win it all.
Teams like Kentucky (Midwest), Duke (South) and Wisconsin (West) are all poised to challenge for the title. This weekend will be the true separation of the contenders and pretenders. Many questions will be answered about the top contenders. Can Kentucky continue its pursuit of perfection against West Virginia (Midwest) and potentially Notre Dame (Midwest) or Wichita State (Midwest)? Can Duke maintain its dominance of late against the likes of Utah (South)? Will there be a tournament rematch against Wisconsin and Arizona (West) that will be as thrilling as last year? Or will a Cinderella team be able to continue its run to the Final Four in Indianapolis?
If these things excite you as much as they do me and you are able to make it to a tournament site then take advantage of chance by grabbing some tickets and view the madness in person. Madness begins Thursday at 7:15 with Wichita State taking on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish from the ACC.
