Investigate the science of light, sound, and ocean movement with fun, hands-on experiments!

PLANT IT!
Tuesday, March 31 (Anytime 10 AM – 3:30 PM)
Free for everyone!
Enjoy a family day featuring hands-on nature and conservation activities with the following partners: Cape Fear Raptor Center, Halyburton Park, NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher, National Weather Service, New Hanover County Environmental Management, Parks and Gardens, and Public Library, UNCW CESTEM, and UNCW WiSE. Cape Fear Museum will break ground for its Outdoor Learning Environment at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place adjacent to the Museum at the corner of 8th and Market Streets.

Friday, April 3 (Anytime 12 PM – 4:00 PM)
Free for members or with Museum admission

Use your senses and your imagination to produce mushy, slimy, gurgling concoctions! Appropriate for ages five and up. Parental participation is required.

Cape Fear Museum of History and Science, 814 Market St., is open Tuesday -Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. General admission is $8 for adults; $7 for seniors, students and military with valid ID; $5 for children 6-17; and free for children 5 and under and for museum members.
