PINE KNOLL SHORES, NC Oct. 15, 2014 – Find out how to cook the catch of the day with the Succulent Seafood series presented by the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. The first session of the fall-winter schedule for the popular program is Oct. 20 at Island Grille in Atlantic Beach.
The Aquarium teams up with top restaurants to dish up recipes and tips on selecting, preparing and serving fresh, seasonal, local seafood. Succulent Seafood sessions are scheduled for selected Mondays and occasionally other weekdays at 2 p.m.
Aquarium staff members share information on the life cycles and habitats of featured seafood species. Chefs provide favorite recipes and personal insights on preparing finfish, shellfish and crustaceans. A taste test of the featured entrées and appetizers tops off each gathering. The current line-up includes:

Nov. 17 – Island Grille, Atlantic Beach

Jan. 26- Island Grille, Atlantic Beach
Feb. 2- Ruddy Ducks, Morehead City

The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores is five miles west of Atlantic Beach at 1 Roosevelt Blvd., Pine Knoll Shores, NC 28512. The Aquarium is open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, except early closings Oct. 29-30 and Dec. 12, 2014, for evening events, and closed Christmas and Thanksgiving days.
