And finally, due to two weeks of bad weather, we have chose to hold over the movie at the Carolina Beach Lake originally scheduled for August 3rd and 10th – the 2014 blockbuster film of the year – THE LEGO MOVIE – The story of a Nobody who saved everybody! The showing will be at 8:45 pm (again – weather permitting) at the Carolina Beach Lake at the corner of South Lake Park Boulevard and Atlanta Avenue.
This original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

All movies are weather-dependent, so be sure to call ahead (910-458-8434), if the weather seems threatening to make sure the show will go on.

These films are free and open to the public. Popcorn, candy, soft drinks, cotton candy and other popular concessions are available at reasonable prices. This is a true summer time treat for adults and kids alike.
