Long casts into churning breakers require more than just a lengthy rod. The Battalion series offers seven surf spinning models in lengths from 8 to 12 feet and four conventional models in 10- to 12-foot lengths. The lightweight and thin diameter two-piece graphite composite blank provides the ideal flex and combination of sensitivity and pulling power that is necessary when casting and fighting fish all day. All models feature unique sculpted grips covered in a rubber shrink tube for optimal grip when wet. Fuji® stainless steel guides with aluminum oxide insert and Fuji DPS reel seats are used to offer the best quality in componentry.
Seventeen inshore spinning models ranging in lengths from 6 feet, 6 inches to 8 feet and three 7 foot casting models make up the Battalion inshore platform. The lightweight, one-piece, 30-ton 100-percent graphite blank is incredibly sensitive yet strong enough to turn any trophy. The extra-light, light, medium-light, and medium rods feature premium split and full cork grips with a Fuji skeleton reel seat for added comfort and sensitivity. The medium-heavy and heavy rods have EVA grips and Fuji DPS and DPSH reel seats for durability and a firm grip when applying the heat to game fish. A rubber gimbal is included on the medium-heavy and heavy rods.
To optimize casting distances the spinning models feature Fuji SV or Y stainless-steel frames with aluminum oxide inserts. Conventional rod guides are Fuji N flared frames with aluminum oxide inserts. Aluminum oxide is ideal for both monofilament and braided line.
For optimum results, pair the Battalion spinning rod with a favorite PENN reel.
