JUMPO LONG RANGE TRANSPORTATION PLAN TEAM INVITES PUBLIC TO COMPLETE SURVEY
JACKSONVILLE, NC June 24, 2014 – The Jacksonville Urban Area Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) team invites the public to participate in a short survey and interactive map by visiting http://jumpo2040.metroquest.com/.
This fun and interactive survey will help the team understand community preference, opinions and issues. The public will be able to express general themes and concerns along with providing location-specific concerns via an interactive online map. There is also an opportunity for residents to provide ideas on how they would spend transportation dollars.
The Jacksonville Urban Area Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is a community-driven process that establishes a vision for mobility in the City of Jacksonville and portions of Onslow County. The LRTP establishes goals, identifies needs, sets investment priorities, and outlines an action plan for the future transportation system. The plan covers each way people and goods move within and through the Jacksonville area, including the street network, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, transit services, and freight movement. The overall goal of the LRTP is to improve mobility, accessibility and safety for the people and goods.
