HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC Feb. 18, 2014 – The people’s choice vote has been tallied and the winner of this year’s 2014 Chamber Restaurant Week Champion is Hugo’s Seafood & Steakhouse.
Chamber Restaurant Week, presented by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, on Saturday, January 25 through Saturday, February 1, was well represented as over 80 chamber member area restaurants with special value-priced menus participated in the sixth annual event.
The competition was tight as chamber restaurants vied for the annual champion title, chosen by dining establishment patrons who selected their favorite dining experience by voting on the chamber’s website as well as via email and on Facebook. Hugo’s Seafood & Steakhouse, the defending title-holder of last year’s Chamber Restaurant Week Champion, will once again receive bragging rights for the year. The Studio took second place and Hudson’s Seafood on the Docks placed third.
Modeled after successful restaurant weeks in New York and other cities, Chamber Restaurant Week has become one of the area’s most popular weeks for dining out. This year, 46,924 people visited the Chamber Restaurant Week web page to view participating restaurant menus and websites.
