Advice for someone who dreams of becoming a professional NBA dancer?
Dancing professionally in the NBA has always been a dream of mine. I have a younger brother so I also grew up around not only dance, but sports as well, and I attending various sporting events with my family. I remember always watching the dancers and cheerleaders and dreaming of the day that it would be my turn. My advice to girls and women of all ages is never take no for an answer! Go after your dreams and do not let anyone prevent you from chasing them. Yes, there will be challenges and times you want to give up, but work even harder and make yourself a better person. Three of my favorite quotes that helped me achieve my dreams are “When something bad happens, you have three choices; You can either let it define you, let it destroy you, or you can let it strengthen you.” Second is “And now I’m glad I didn’t know the way it all would end, the way it all would go our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain, but I’d have had to miss the dance.” Finally “Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside of you that is greater than any obstacle.”

What is your favorite guilty pleasure?
Mashed potatoes or Red Velvet Cake!

Who is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspirations are my Nanny (grandmother) and my Mom. My Nanny is the strongest woman I know and has taught me so many great life lessons that have molded me into the woman I am today. My other inspiration is my mom because she truly is my biggest fan and has always pushed me to follow my dreams and never give up, even when I have failed. She put me in dance when I was three and I have never turned back and I am so thankful for that!

Dream Job?
My dream job would be operating my own dance studio and coaching dance for a professional team! I have always wanted to have both of those jobs and I think it would be an amazing journey and experience!

What is your favorite memory from being on the Lady Cats dance team?
My favorite memory so far this year was traveling to China with six of my teammates. It was my first international trip and my first public performance as a Lady Cat. The China trip was an incredible experience. Performing overseas as well as visiting numerous amazing places made the trip a breathtaking adventure. Performing in front of the crowd was an unbelievable experience and their energy made performing that much easier and enjoyable. My experiences quickly became one of the greatest memories in my life to date, and I am so blessed I was given the opportunity.

What’s your favorite quotes to live by?
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11 & “When you are passionate, you always have your destination in sight and you are not distracted by obstacles. Because you love what you are pursuing, things like rejection and setbacks will not hinder you in your pursuit. You believe that nothing can stop you!” -Coach K

What is one thing you hope to do in your role as a Lady Cat?
I hope to inspire girls to always follow their dreams, no matter what they may be. I would love for one day someone to tell me that because I followed my dreams, they didn’t give up on theirs. For me, Lady Cats is a great opportunity to reach out to others and lead by example.

Dream vacation destination?
Lake Como, Italy!
