Ryan Moore bests NGA alum Gary Woodland in Playoff for CIMB Classic Win

Myrtle Beach, SC October 28, 2013 – 2008 NGA Tour grad Gary Woodland shot a final day 69 to leapfrog fellow NGA Tour alum Chris Stroud, who held the 3-day lead at the CIMB Classic, and earn the right to compete in a playoff with third round co-leader Ryan Moore for the CIMB Classic win. Moore shot a final day 70 which was good enough to earn a share of the lead after the fourth round and gain his spot in the playoff. Moore took little time to grab the win, birding the first hole of the playoff held on hole number 18 while Woodland made par. Both players were attempting to grab their third win on the PGA Tour. 2009 NGA Tour grad Keegan Bradley, who struggled on the 3rd day after grabbing the 2nd round lead, came back on the final day and played par golf which put him at 9 under for the event and alone in 10th place. British Open Champion and past NGA Tour winner Stewart Cink finished 11th while fellow NGA Tour alum Jerry Kelly finished T19. Chris Kirk T25 rounded out the NGA Tour alums who managed to finish inside the top 25. Masters Champion and NGA Tour winner Bubba Watson finished T31 while 2 other NGA Tour alums, Boo Weekley and Gaganjeet Bhullar, finished T33. 2010 NGA Tour Player of the Year Michael Thompson finished T35 with fellow 2010 NGA grad Roberto Castro.
