Grasshoppers To Host A Live Online Charity Auction
Greensboro, NC March 19, 2013 – Get the baseball season started early with the Greensboro Grasshoppers live online charity auction at www.outbid.com. The auction will start at 7:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday April 3. All proceeds from the auction benefit the Gilford’s Kids, a program run by Greensboro Grasshoppers Charities that allows deserving organizations and groups the chance to attend a Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball game.
“Outbid is a great way for Hoppers fans to get a jump on the new season and join us for this special online auction as we raise money for Gilford’s Kids,” said Grasshoppers President and General Manager Donald Moore. “Fans will get a chance to bid on baseballs autographed by the 2012 & 2013 Greensboro Grasshoppers Team and NL Rookie of the Year Bryce Harper, or the chance to watch the game from the 24-Person Luxury Suite at the Grasshopper’s NewBridge Bank Ballpark.”
“Outbid has proven that we are a fantastic platform for charity events and extremely proud to be working with the Greensboro Grasshoppers on our first “local” fundraising effort,” said Outbid CEO Dan Granger. “Anyone can join the auction for free on their iPhone, iPad or computer and experience the thrill of a live online auction with the team that gave current Major League all-stars Giancarlo Stanton, Derek Jeter, Robinson Cano and Mariano Rivera an early jump on their careers.”
The first 100 auction attendees will get a FREE Grasshoppers ticket voucher (Limit one per person, details below). RSVP for this online auction at www.outbid.com/greensboro. During the auction fans attending the auction will be able to chat with Moore about the new Grasshoppers season and relive the team’s great memories in the frenzied fun that is an Outbid auction – while raising money for a great cause.
Free ticket voucher details: Vouchers must be picked up at the Grasshoppers front office weekdays 9am-5pm between April 4, 2013 – April 26, 2013. Vouchers are to be redeemed at the Greensboro Grasshoppers box office for ONE ticket to a 2013 season game; based on availability.
