CHARLESTON, SC March 15, 2013 – The College of Charleston men’s tennis team will return home to face Southern Conference foe Appalachian State on March 16 at 11 a.m. (ET) at the College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

The Cougars (4-6, 2-2 SoCon) are riding high after back-to-back 4-3 Southern Conference wins over Davidson on March 10 and Furman March 14.

The Mountaineers (2-7, 0-0 SoCon) have had a tough start to the season but have played some quality opponents including No. 32-ranked South Carolina and No. 64 East Tennessee State.

CofC will be looking to get revenge for last year when ASU dealt the Cougars their only Southern Conference loss in CofC’s second-to-last regular season match.

“App State is always a tough match,” CofC Head Coach Jay Bruner said. “They are just starting conference play so I’m sure they will be fired up. We’re coming off of a good battle with Furman and we’re finding some rhythm. We’re working hard each match to improve as a team. Tomorrow will be a great opportunity at home for us to get better.”

After Saturday’s match, CofC will head back to the road to take on Mercer on Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m. (ET) at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center in Macon, Ga.
