RiverDogs Named “Best Local Sports Team” AGAIN by Charleston City Paper

More than 6,500 Readers Reinforce “Be Your Own Fan” Mantra

CHARLESTON, SC March 6, 2013 – For the ninth consecutive year, the Charleston RiverDogs have been voted “Best Local Sports Team” by the readership of the Charleston City Paper.

With more than 6,500 ballots submitted this year, the class A affiliate of the 27-time World Champion New York Yankees that play in beautiful Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park have now captured the award every year since 2005.

“We are excited once again to be named the ‘Best Local Sports Team’ by the readership of the Charleston City Paper,” said RiverDogs General Manager Dave Echols. “The Charleston City Paper is a fantastic publication, and an integral part of our community, so this award is a big one for us to receive again.
