Top Shelf Fishing Outing for North Carolina Disabled Veterans
WINSTON-SALEM, NC March 1, 2013 – Thursday, April 25, Operation North State (ONS) will host its Top Shelf Fishin’ Festival on Badin Lake just south of Lexington. Forty of North Carolina’s avid and tournament fishermen have volunteered to host forty disabled veterans and wounded warriors to a great day of fishing and festivities.
ONS Chairman and Founder, Terry Snyder, said “the goal of the event is to utilize North Carolina’s People, Places, Products and Pride to show our support and appreciation to the veterans that call North Carolina home. We are honored to have been asked by veterans from around the state who love to fish for us to host the event. Initial support for the event by individuals, companies and organizations statewide has been overwhelming” Snyder said. Operation North State wants to give every North Carolinian (individual, organization, company) the opportunity to get involved in the Top Shelf Fishin’ Festival. Call today to offer your support and/or recommend a disabled veteran or wound warrior to participate. “We still need to confirm a dozen more fishing hosts. Additionally, we need door-prizes and items for the gift bags; keep in mind – Top Shelf only for these heroes – send us your best” Snyder said.
