Onslow County Museum Features Local Artists in Changing Gallery
Richlands, NC Feb. 27, 2013 – The Onslow County Museum is pleased to invite the public to attend the grand opening reception of its newest exhibition, Around Onslow, Saturday, March 2 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A collaborative project with the Council for the Arts, Around Onslow features more than 50 works by local artists
who have captured scenes of Onslow County in acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and photography. “We are so pleased to be able to showcase the work of so many talented Onslow County artists in our changing gallery,” states Lisa Whitman-Grice, Museum Division Head. “This is a wonderful opportunity to see local artists depicting local sites including shrimp boats, farm life, nature scenes, and some of our more iconic images such as the courthouse cupola.”
The exhibition will be featured in the gallery through April 27. Located at 301 S. Wilmington Street in Richlands, the Onslow County Museum is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm and Saturdays 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. Admission is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for youth 3 and above; children under 3 are free.
