Onslow County Animal Services Announces Adopt-A-Sweetheart Valentine’s Event
Onslow County, NC Feb. 14, 2013 - “On Valentine’s Day the traditional gifts of candy and roses are usually given, but why not give a gift that brings smiles, fun and happiness to your valentine,” says Alan Davis, Director of Onslow County Animal Services. “Adopt-A-Sweetheart pet and give it a loving home on Valentine’s Day.” Onslow County Animal Services is hosting the 2nd Annual Adopt-A-Sweetheart event now through February 16, 2013.
The celebration will conclude on Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with an ‘Adopt-A-Sweetheart’ special event. Pet owners may have their photos taken with their new valentine pet for $5.00 and receive free gifts with their pet adoption. The event will feature vendors, and will give guests an opportunity to obtain rabies vaccination for their cat or dog for $10.00. In addition, Onslow County Animal Services is holding a call-out for additional volunteers. Individuals interested in volunteering are invited to attend the volunteer information session and orientation from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m..
A special adoption fee of $105.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats will be in effect from February 13th thru February 16th for the special event Adopters can usually take their new pet home the same day. Forms of payment include cash, and credit card (Visa or MasterCard only).
Onslow County Animal Services is located at 244 Georgetown Road in Jacksonville. The adoption hours are: Monday through Thursdays From 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Fridays from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Additional hours may be scheduled for special events.
