Clemson’s Doubles Team is Ranked 10th Nationally

CLEMSON, SC Feb. 13, 2013 – The doubles team of Yannick and Dominique Maden is ranked 10th nationally according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll released Wednesday.

The Maden brothers have a 15-3 record overall in doubles this season and have a 5-0 mark in dual match play. They have been playing at the number-one slot for the Tigers this season. The Madens are from Stuttgart, Germany.

 

This past fall was very successful as the Maden duo advanced to the final eight of the All-American Tournament on October 4-7. They were also were doubles finalists in the Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens, GA on September 7-10

 

The Madens reached the final four of the ITA Carolinas Regional Doubles Tournament on October 18-21, 2012 in Cary, NC

 

Yannick Maden who has been playing at the number-one spot is ranked 83rd in singles in the ITA poll. He has an 11-4 record overall, and a 5-1 mark in dual matches.

 

As a team, Clemson is ranked 57th nationally. The Tigers will play 45th-ranked Alabama on Friday and 35th-ranked Louisville on Sunday at Clemson’s Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. The Tigers are 6-1 this season.
