Byron Mullens against David West could be the matchup to keep an eye on tonight at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Mullens, who has recently recovered from an ankle injury, has returned to the court as an offensive force for the Cats. He is fifth on the team in scoring (12.2 points) and is first on the team in rebounds (7.80). He has been active for five games since his injury and has scored in double digits the last three games, with 20, 15 and 25 points, respectively, including two double-doubles against the Lakers and the Celtics…. West will be a tough match for Mullens, coming in with averages of 17.4 points and 7.6 rebounds this season. West is also recovering from an injury. He scratched his left eye in the Pacers February 11 game against Brooklyn and missed majority of the first half. West has been scoring in double figures in recent games with the exception of this most recent game. In the Pacers game against Toronto on February 8, West scored 30 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked one shot.

The Bobcats are taking on the Pacers with a recent win under their belt, as they beat the Celtics 94-91 on February 11. The Cats have five players that are scoring in double figures and keeping them in the game offensively: Kemba Walker (17.3), Ramon Sessions (15.0), Ben Gordon (12.9), Gerald Henderson (12.7) and Byron Mullens (12.2)… Charlotte is currently averaging 94.1 points per game.

The Pacers rely on three key players offensively, with a all scoring in double figures: Paul George (17.8), David West (17.4), and George Hill (14.6). Indiana is currently averaging 92.8 points per game. The Bobcats and the Pacers both have players who can score, but whoever’s defense steps up best could be key.
