An Epicurean Evening at Cape Fear Museum
Wilmington, NC Feb. 13, 2013 - Cape Fear Museum Associates is hosting Vintage and Vine, an epicurean evening, on February 22 from 7:00-10:00 pm, celebrating fine foods and wine. Chefs from Sweet and Savory, Rx, Catch, Jester’s Café, Hot Pink Cake Stand, New Hanover Regional Medical Center plus Cape Fear Community College and New Hanover High School’s culinary programs will create mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres and desserts inspired by the Cape Fear Garden Club’s cookbook. Explore the Museum and enjoy the live entertainment of Upstarts & Rogues and pianist Duke Ladd.
Bid on amazing products, services and experiences in the silent and live auctions. Take a staycation at a Wrightsville Beach condo. Show off your custom hat made by aMuse Artisanal Finery at the Azalea Festival garden tour. Cool off with a kayak tour courtesy of Hook, Line and Paddle. Sports buffs, bid on a round of golf (cart included) or a tennis lesson from Pine Valley Country Club or Wilmington Hammerhead soccer tickets. Cape Fear Museum of History and Science, a New Hanover County department, 814 Market St., is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday -Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday; Labor Day through Memorial Day. General admission is $7 for adults; $6 for students and senior citizens; $6 special military rate with valid military ID; $4 for children 3-17; and free for children under 3 and for museum members.
