Bobcats Invite Fans to Help Celebrate Michael Jordan’s Birthday Through Social Media

Charlotte, NC Feb. 11, 2013 – Bobcats Sports & Entertainment invites fans to participate in the celebration of the 50^th birthday of Chairman Michael Jordan on February 17. Fans will have the opportunity to send their personal birthday wishes to Jordan in a week-long celebration via all of the Bobcats’ social media outlets.

Bobcats fans will have the chance to send their birthday wishes to Michael Jordan through Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram. The team’s social media sites are the only way to wish Jordan happy birthday directly.

On Twitter, posts can be made using #MJBDayWish, and the top 50 will be put on a birthday card that will be given to Jordan. On Facebook, fans can submit birthday wishes via video by liking the Bobcats Facebook page, with a montage of the best videos running on his birthday. In addition, the top three videos will win Jordan Brand prize packs.

bobcats.com will feature three 23-picture galleries running February 14-16, highlighting Jordan’s early playing days, championship years and time as an owner. On February 17, the website will also feature an image wishing him happy birthday with links to galleries, Twitter and the top Facebook videos, as well as organizational posts on Instagram and Google+.
