Jeannelle Scheper Sets New High Jump Standard at Tyson Invite
Gamecocks wrap up busy weekend with three meets
Columbia, SC Feb. 9, 2013 – For the second day in a row, a Gamecock has broken their own school record. Junior high jumper Jeannelle Scheper won the women’s high jump invitational group with a mark of 6’3 ¼ (1.91m) at the Tyson Invite in Fayetteville, Ark. Yesterday, freshman Kayla Lampe set a new 5K school record in Seattle, Wash., at the Husky Classic. Senior Breanna Radford picked up a win at the Tiger Paw Invitational in the women’s shot put.
FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. – Junior Jeannelle Scheper broke her own school record for the second time this season to pick up the victory in the women’s high jump invitational section. Scheper is the only Gamecock to clear 6’ or more in school history and holds indoor and outdoor school records.
