14 CofC Student-Athletes Earn Fall Academic All-Conference Honors

SPARTANBURG, SC – The College of Charleston placed 14 student-athletes on the Academic All-Southern Conference Team for the 2012 fall semester, as announced by the league office Friday afternoon.

The CofC Cougar women’s soccer team led the way with nine honorees and senior men’s cross country runner Christian Bailey posted a group-best 3.91 GPA.

To be eligible, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA entering the fall season and were required to compete in at least one-half of their teams’ competitions during the recently concluded fall campaign. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least 24 credit hours in the previous two semesters.
