Holiday Open House: A Polar Express Adventure

EPolar Expresslizabeth City, NC – Experience the sights and sounds of the holidays during the Museum of the Albemarle’s Holiday Open House  “A Polar Express Adventure” on Saturday, December 1stfrom 1:00 pm—4:00 pm.

Children and adults will delight in the Albemarle Railroad Club’s O scale train display of the Polar Express. Members of the club will be on hand to operate and discuss their display.  Polar Express themed decorations will adorn a spectacular lobby tree.  Junior Docents will lead several creative activities giving visitors the opportunity to make a special Polar Express bell ornament for their own tree. Polar Express themed refreshments will be available for your enjoyment.

Enjoy a ‘Jingle Bell’ carriage ride offered by Carolina Carriages and pony rides by Circle S Ranch. Rides are $5 per person. The highlight of the day for the children will be a special visit with “Santa.”  Bring your camera as this is a photo opportunity you don’t want to miss.
