Beaufort retiree reels in $10,000 prize at The North Carolina Seafood Festival
Morehead City, NC – Each fall, folks head to The North Carolina Seafood Festival in Morehead City for the exhibitions, entertainment, and – who could forget – the fresh coastal cuisine. But you might say that, of the thousands who attended this year’s event over the weekend, James Fudesco got the “catch of the day.”
After buying $10 in lottery tickets at the North Carolina Education Lottery booth, the Beaufort retiree scratched off a $10,000 prize playing the “$2,500 a Week for Life!” game. Fudesco said he was “very, very excited” when he realized he won and plans to use his prize money to have a new roof installed.
The North Carolina Education Lottery love to meet players at events like the Seafood Festival. It’s one of many cultural or sporting events that the lottery partners with across the state.
