Local Wish Kids will attend Marlins home game against Team USA
MORRISVILLE, N.C. (June 25, 2012)—Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina announced today that the Morehead City Marlins will host Wish Kids and their families during its home game against Team USA on Wednesday, June 27. The children, who all live in Eastern North Carolina, will have the opportunity to meet with players and staff from both the Marlins and Team USA prior to the game. The exhibition game is scheduled for 7:05 pm at Puck O’Neal Field at Big Rock Stadium.
“We’re honored to have these children and their families from Make-A-Wish Eastern NC join us for this special game,” said Marlins General Manager Christopher Marmo. “Their strength, determination and courage truly inspires us as a staff and team.”

The Morehead City Marlins are a member of the Coastal Plain League, the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 16th season, the Coastal Plain League features 14 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats.
